Happy Birthday, Ryanne! My best friend asked me to make his niece's first birthday cake, a Minnie Mouse themed birthday. This is a 5 layered devil's food cake, (store bought cake mix... oops) vanilla frosting and extreme fondant work. Minnie's hat was molded out of rice krispie treats and then later covered in black fondant. This cake took around four hours to complete... not bad in my book!
There was also a "smash cake" for Ryanne but I didn't take a picture of it.

Happy Birthday, Brittany! It was a manager's birthday so I surprised her with vanilla and strawberry cupcakes. I played with the frosting to make little rose buds, and I played with my chocolate work a little more with the heart and '25'. They were a hit!

Sorry I kind of neglected this blog for a while; a lot of stuff has been going on this summer.

Here's my belated Mother's Day cupcakes for my mamma; Mom loves raspberries so I took a vanilla cupcake and infused some raspberry jelly in the cupcake with her favorite extra dark chocolate frosting. I did some chocolate work; making some flowers and hearts to show Mom I really care! She loved them!

My first tiered cake! A vanilla on vanilla cake completely wrapped in fondant. Everything was hand made (no molds or cut outs!) I made it for a friend's niece's 2nd birthday party.

Not a cake I'm proud of, but I won't neglect it. A nike shoebox cake made for one my managers when she was promoted. This was about two weeks ago. Vanilla on vanilla cake with fondant and the football and baseball are also fondant.

A little creation, pretzel cookies. Instead of rolling out the pretzel dough it was made into balls and turned into a little dipping pretzel cookie. Homemade dipping sauce was also made, like a zesty mustard (I won't spill that secret).

For one of the girls at work I made a quick batch of cupcakes. She was a little disappointed I didn't do anything crazy for her cupcakes until she took a bite and saw the inside... rainbow cupcakes! Her favorite, vanilla cake with strawberry frosting and food dye.
