My first tiered cake! A vanilla on vanilla cake completely wrapped in fondant. Everything was hand made (no molds or cut outs!) I made it for a friend's niece's 2nd birthday party.

Not a cake I'm proud of, but I won't neglect it. A nike shoebox cake made for one my managers when she was promoted. This was about two weeks ago. Vanilla on vanilla cake with fondant and the football and baseball are also fondant.
A little creation, pretzel cookies. Instead of rolling out the pretzel dough it was made into balls and turned into a little dipping pretzel cookie. Homemade dipping sauce was also made, like a zesty mustard (I won't spill that secret).

For one of the girls at work I made a quick batch of cupcakes. She was a little disappointed I didn't do anything crazy for her cupcakes until she took a bite and saw the inside... rainbow cupcakes! Her favorite, vanilla cake with strawberry frosting and food dye.

Happy birthday to my big bro! His Harry Potter themed birthday party was nothing without these Harry Potter cupcakes! His favorite, vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and fondant sculpted Hogwarts scarves, broomstick, quidditch snitch, and the ever famous lightening bolt.
My first full fondant cake. My manager's birthday party and I made her a star wars themed cake. Blue-dyed fondant with lemon cake and vanilla frosting.
Fun Fact, I can plop zepollis like you would not believe! I volunteer at my local church's summer feast every year. People wait for hours for a dozen of these :]

Easter last year, a fondant bunny and basket I made by hand. Vanilla cake with vanilla frosting and jellybeans to give it a festive look.
My first attempt at cake pops for an event at work. Vanilla cake with strawberry frosting.
My first try at cupcakes. I made these two years ago for Thanksgiving: Funfetti cake with a buttercream frosting, fondant leaves and edible glitter dust.
Hi! Welcome to my blog, 'Kelly's Kooky Kakes'! I have been making/decorating cakes, cupcakes, cookies for about two years now. This blog is just a collection of baked goods I have made and new cakes to come! I should add that I am not professionally trained, this is a hobby of mine that I have taught myself to do. Any tips or questions you have for me are more than appreciated, hope you like it!
